This research is aimed to describe the evolution of Javanesse language politeness in families of speech communities in the area of Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta. The subject of this research are members of Javanesse native speaker families living in Ngawu village in the district of Playen and Terbah village in the district of Patuk. The number of subject is 28 and each of them is having their own idiolect. The method of research applied is the qualita¬tive descriptive. Observation and Interview are used to gather data. Partisipatory conversation, recording, transcribing, and soliloque are used as the data collecting techniques. The result of the research can be best ex¬plained as follow: First, there is no observable different between morphologi¬cal and lexical system of BIG (Gunungkidul variation of Javanesse) and those of BJY (Yogyakarta variation of Javanesse) no matter where the sample is, city or village. In case of affixational omission, it serves as symbol of emotive politeness value of 'less polite' in Low Javanesse, of 'semi polite' in Middle Javanesse, and of 'polite' in High Javanesse. In its lexical system, BIG has spe¬cial characteristic that is to place upon mitigative particles (kok, mbok), comple¬mentary particles (dhing, je, ya, ta), prime interjection (lho, o, e, wo, oh, etc), and family addressing (dhik, mas, mbak, nok, nduk, pak, mbok, mak, kung, :tiling, etc.) Second, context or component of speech act also influence the use of polite language in Gunungkidul. It is based on the fact that city dwellers are faith¬ful to the domain application of Law, Middle, and High Javanesse while villag¬ers are not so faithful. It happens because city dwellers are in general have better education than villagers. Third, speech act locution, illocution, and perlocution, are used proporsionally used by BIG speaker. However, the illocution is the most dominant since speech communities in Gunungkidul possess a unique and preserved way of looking at politeness. Fourth, six maxims of politeness variatively influence the function and form of language politeness of Javanesse speakers in Gunungkidul.
