Carok is often known and understood as violent tradition, contains crimi¬nality and sadistic. The research strives as maximal as possible to gives philosophical theoretical understanding about the carok tradition as the Maduresse tradition in which that acquires the honorable and extraordi¬nary position.
The research was the library research that used eclecticism of the sub¬stance metaphysics concept and the ontology of being as approach (formal object). The research matter (material object) was all of thinking, understand¬ing, and explaining of the carok tradition in which was written by other researcher with used the different approach.
The result of research showed that the essence of the carok tradition was expressed in the thinking of ontology, epistemology, axiology and the carok substance metaphysics. Reflection of the carok ontologically showed that the self-price aspect and the socio-cultural aspect was equally and dimension¬ally in the transcendental-ontologic-structure. Reflection of the carok episte¬mologically showed that the self-price was the methodical distinct to under¬stand, to admit, to respect the other self-price. Reflection of the carok axiologically showed that the self-price contains the spiritual value and the socio-cultural contains the ethical value. Reflection of the carok substance metaphysics showed that the carok tradition was substance that inherently contains the one and the many, the unchanged and the changed, the imma¬nence and the transcendence aspect. The one aspect and the many aspect is represented in the expression of rampak naong barmgin korong. The unchanged aspect is entangled in the self-price aspect and the family as the grace of God. The changed aspect is entangled in the socio-cultural aspect _g the conven¬tion of live together. The immanence aspect is expressed in the concept of the theocentric self-price and the transcendence aspect is expressed in the honor of family and other. The essence of the carok tradition, transcendent-ontologically, is the recovering and realization media of every form of the self-price disregarding (disharmony behavior of the self-prize and the socio¬cultural aspect in which should be internalized in harmony maximally.
